We take a look at how our free integration with Facebook Marketplace worked together with Arthur’s automation features to manage a Property Manager’s entire applicant journey, from finding a prospective tenant to securing a move-in date.
A success story
As the Property Manager’s portfolio was already linked to other portals, when their property became available they activated the integration with a simple click of the button.
Advertising the property on Facebook Marketplace gave the Property Manager the opportunity to reach a new audience of potential applicants.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for a highly motivated candidate to find the property and express their interest on 14th April at 3:08 pm.
“The Facebook Marketplace integration is free and easy to use. Since using the integration, I have received a high number of quality applicants quickly and simply.”
Once the applicant had inquired about the property, they were fed back into Arthur’s system. Our automation functionality then automatically sent out an email thanking them for their inquiry and informed the Property Manager that a new applicant had come in via Facebook Marketplace at 4:00 pm the same day.
As the Property Manager was informed about the inquiry in real-time the date and time for the viewing was able to be confirmed the next day. The viewing was scheduled for 18th April at 11:00 am.
On 17th April, the time of the viewing was changed to 10:00 am by the Property Manager. Arthur automatically notified the applicant of the time change by SMS and email to allow maximum response time in case of any difficulties.
The applicant was sent an automatic reminder via SMS and email on the day of the viewing and the viewing took place three days after the initial inquiry where an offer was made.
“Thanks to Arthur the applicant was always informed at every key stage throughout the applicant journey so I didn’t have to worry about it.”
At 3:25 pm on the same day as the viewing, the Property Manager carried out a credit check and achieved a satisfactory result. Following the satisfactory result, at 3:40 pm, the Property Manager created a prospective tenancy on the Arthur platform.
The now prospective tenant paid the holding fee on 20th April and a reference was sent out via Arthur’s integration with Advanced Tenant Referencing resulting in another satisfactory outcome.
A move-in date was then scheduled for 19th May, just over one month after the applicant’s initial inquiry.
“Arthur allowed me to automate the applicant journey, which sped the process up and saved me a considerable amount of admin time.”
