On 14-15 May 2025, the world’s largest and longest standing accounting and finance expo, Accountex London returned to Excel for a record-breaking show.

The fourteenth edition of the exhibition welcomed 16,000+ attendees over the 2 days, and more than 12,000 unique attendees, a 10% increase from last year’s show.

Visitors travelled from across the country and around the world, from as far as Nigeria and the Seychelles.

Portfolio Director, Caroline Hobden was excited about the event’s success “With the MTD mandates fast approaching and AI transforming software and the way we work, there was an electric atmosphere at the show.”

Caroline continued: “The reaction from the profession has been amazing, with 75% of exhibitors already rebooking their stands for next year.”

‘Whether it was software to save time or to lighten the load, I left with lots of solutions to help me work smarter’

Visitors had the chance to meet 300+ service and software providers. The fintech companies ranged from industry giants to emerging brands, including FreeAgent, Intuit QuickBooks, IRIS, Sage, TaxCalc, Wolters Kluwer, Xero, AY Business Law, Briefcase, and Adsum.

Exhibitors covered everything from document management and cybersecurity to audit services and cash flow forecasting. They offered visitors live demos of their software, caught up with clients and shared their latest tech updates.

Visitor, Kristy Glenister, Director, 4cast Bookkeeping Limited commented, “Accountex London never disappoints — and 2025 was easily the best one yet! I attend each year to stay ahead of the curve and discover new tools that can help both my business and my clients thrive. The sheer variety of vendors meant I left with fresh ideas and software I hadn’t even known I needed.”

‘The most value packed two days of my year!’

The CPD accredited programme was compiled of the brightest minds in the business. 250+ sessions were held across 13 theatres and delivered by 295 speakers from across the accounting and finance industry and beyond.

Ahead of HMRC’s 2026 deadline, Making Tax Digital was top of the agenda. Also popular on the programme was AI, and how it’s shaping every aspect of work, from client relationships to software updates.

Other sessions explored the latest on Robotic Process Automation, cyberattacks, R&D legislation, apprenticeships and sustainability reporting.

“With a packed agenda of expert-led, relevant and future-focused seminars, I was truly spoilt for choice, as well as the expansive learning opportunities of the masterclasses and the many theatres. It was a powerful reminder: stepping away from your desk can be the very thing that propels your growth forward.” Said Leila Singh, Managing Director, Success Redefined Limited.

‘Where precision meets progress—an essential event for every modern accountant’

Alongside the staples Accountex is known for, there were plenty of new features for visitors to explore.

A UK first that launched at the show was the Olyusei App. It provided attendees with crystal-clear audio. Using their own headphones, visitors could easily switch between theatres, ensuring they could fully engage with speakers and presentations regardless of their location in the exhibition hall.

After listening to feedback from visitors, the Solo Traveller Lounge was launched. This dedicated area was designed for visitors attending alone who wanted to connect with others and make the most out of their visit.

Back for a second year was British Sign Language interpretation across three of the stages. The interpreters are part of an ongoing collaboration with AAT, who are also Accountex’s first-ever ‘Accessibility Partner’.

‘The FD Show is the perfect addition to Accountex, I can’t wait to attend next year!’

The FD Show was announced at Accountex London. Launching next year, this area of the show is built for finance leaders, featuring expert insights, practical solutions, and live sessions to help them stay ahead, connect with peers, and drive strategic impact.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch the FD Show, a brand-new event designed specifically for finance leaders. Running alongside Accountex London in 2026, this new platform will offer CFOs and FD’s unparalleled insights, strategic

connections, and the tools they need to lead in a rapidly evolving business landscape. We have a huge amount of support and interest already and are very much looking forward to delivering this next year.” Commented Accountex Portfolio Director, Caroline Hobden.

The exhibition will feature 40+ key suppliers offering enterprise solutions, alongside a range software and services catered to finance  professionals.
