This year, more small businesses are expected to take off as business travel makes a return. After years of rescheduled flights, it’s exciting to see borders reopening, giving small businesses the opportunity to reconnect with customers and colleagues all over the world. That’s why I’m excited to announce Xero’s new partnership with Qantas Business Rewards in Australia.
In a first for Xero and an airline, the partnership will allow Australian small businesses to earn Qantas Points via the Xero App Store and streamline their bills when booking a Qantas flight as a Qantas Business Rewards member.
“The Qantas Business Rewards program is focused on helping members do business better, all while being rewarded for it. In partnership with Xero, we’re giving business owners new ways to grow their points balances when using business apps in the Xero App Store.
“It’s now easier for businesses to manage their travel with Qantas, with invoices flowing directly into Xero accounting software. We know this is something our members will appreciate as business travel picks up in the coming months,” says Olivia Wirth, CEO Qantas Loyalty.
Earn Qantas Points via the Xero App Store
Looking to customise your processes and level up your operations? The Xero App Store offers ways for small businesses to tailor their online accounting system to fit their unique business needs. Xero’s partnership with Qantas Business Rewards will now also offer businesses the opportunity to earn Qantas Points at the same time on eligible app purchases.
Xero customers and Qantas Business Rewards members can earn between 7,000 and 21,000 Qantas Points when signing up for selected Xero certified app partners via the Xero App Store*. This includes ServiceM8, ApprovalMax, Chaser, Syft, EzzyBills, Finlert and Deputy, with more certified app partners to be added in the future.
Once subscribed, customers will earn Qantas Points after being connected to the app for 90 days. These Qantas Points can be used on a whole range of things, from flights and hotels, to Qantas Wine> and over 8,000 products from the Qantas Rewards Store, for either business or personal use. Whether on the ground or up in the air, your business can be rewarded.
Streamline travel with Xero Connect
A new integration between Qantas Business Rewards and Xero Connect will also make it even easier to manage your bills when travelling.
With this integration, Qantas Business Rewards members can automatically have bills flow straight into a nominated Xero account when booking a Qantas flight. This removes the need for manual data entry and saves time on admin. It’s a faster, simpler and more accurate way to get supplier invoices into Xero – allowing you to use that time on other tasks at hand.
For those of you who aren’t already members, Qantas Business Rewards is waiving the $89.50 sign up fee for Xero customers. Once logged in to Qantas Business Rewards, it’s easy to connect the two by clicking on the ‘Connections’ tab and then ‘Connect to Xero’.
To find out more about the partnership visit here or the Qantas Business Rewards website.
*A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards member to earn Qantas Points for business. A one-off join fee of $89.50 including GST normally applies, however, this will be waived for Xero customers. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility for Qantas Points is subject to the Xero Qantas Business Rewards Program Eligible Customer Terms and the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions. You should make sure you read and understand these terms and conditions before making a purchase.
Xero customers will be eligible to earn the specified number of Qantas Points when they acquire an Eligible Product via the Xero App Store and hold it for 90 days.
Eligible Customers must hold a current ABN that corresponds to the ABN listed in their Qantas Business Rewards membership account, quote that ABN in the check-out process, and comply with any other requirements specified by Xero before the purchase. Members are responsible for checking whether a product is an Eligible Product and, if so, how many Qantas Points will be earned, and whether the other requirements to be an Eligible Customer are met, before making a purchase.
Qantas will use reasonable endeavours to credit the relevant number of Qantas Points to the member’s Qantas Business Rewards Account within 30 days of becoming eligible. Qantas Points will not be earned if an Eligible Product is returned or cancelled, or a refund is requested, within 90 days of purchase.
