Schedule Email
One of the things we all love about Quotient is how speedy it is to create and send quotes to customers.
Now, let’s say you’ve just finished a call with your customer, and while everything is fresh in your head, you whip up a quick quote. The quote is detailed and thorough, it responds to their brief (and more). You’ve used some of your existing Saved Content too, so it looks like you’ve actually spent a lot of time writing up the quote – possibly even hours, when in reality it took you less than five minutes.
Normally, getting back to your customer right away shows great service. But getting back to your customer too soon can make you look a little too keen and desperate for the work, or perhaps they will think you haven’t spent enough time working out the best price for them. This can be off-putting for your customer.
Or, perhaps you’ve been catching up on your quoting after hours. It’s now 11pm, you’ve completed a quote for a customer and you just want to get it sent and off your plate. But when your customer receives a quote at 11pm this can have negative connotations, such as; you’re overworked and out of control, and that you may be too busy to complete their work.
Introducing Schedule Email!
Now you can schedule your emails so they’ll be delivered at a future time and date of your choosing. There’s some handy defaults, relative to your current day/time. You could choose 1pm today, 8am tomorrow, or 8am Monday… easy! And of course, there’s more options available if you’d like to pick a specific day and time.
The new Schedule Email is available whenever you send an email in Quotient, for example new quotes, editing and resending quotes, and sending Follow-ups.
Stop Email
Have you ever sent off an email and noticed at the last second that you’d made a typo? Or realised at the very last second that you weren’t quite ready to send the email?
Now, whenever an email is sent (or scheduled) an alert will appear near the top of your screen, giving you the option to stop the email from sending. There’s also an option to view the quote from here. This alert automatically times out after 5 seconds.
Improved ‘Preview & Send’ flow
We received a range of feedback from our Refreshed Quote Edit update, particularly around the Quote ‘Preview & Send’ flow.
As nothing is ever set in concrete here at Quotient, we’ve made some further tweaks and improvements:
- If you click into a Draft Quote and nothing needs saving, there’s a button to take you back to the Dashboard (or to Quotes, if that’s where you came from). Previously this was just called ‘Cancel’, which caused some confusion.
- If you hit ‘Preview & Send’ you’ll now get just a preview of the Quote (without the email message). Hitting the ‘Send…’ button lets you preview the email message on its own.
- You can hit Ctrl+S (⌘ S on the Mac) at any time to save your Quote and continue editing.
It’s easy to step forward and back through these steps – from right up to the point of sending a Quote, and all the way back to the Dashboard.
