Looking to do less admin and spend more time building your business? If so, you’ll be happy to discover that processing invoices for trade orders is set to become faster, easier and more streamlined thanks to Xero’s integration with the TradeOnline platform.

Eliminating admin and moving trades online

In an exciting step for the construction space, Trade Online is a brand new digital platform that provides Trade account customers with 24/7 access to account balances, invoices and statements.

Bringing all of your Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware accounts together in one place, TradeOnline is the easiest way to manage your business across multiple stores and accounts. Currently being rolled out across the country, TradeOnline is already connected to over 50 Australian Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware stores, with more being added in the coming months.

Xero is the first integration to launch with TradeOnline, enabling mutual customers to have their supplier invoices automatically sent directly to Xero. All of which is set to save you valuable time, so you can get back to business.

Understanding how Xero Connect works

With Xero Connect, invoices flow automatically into your Xero account, eliminating manual data entry, saving you time and helping you increase data accuracy. Consider it a faster, simpler way to get your supplier invoices flowing into Xero.

So, how does the integration work? When you’ve been invited to access the TradeOnline platform, simply log in, go to ‘Trade sync’ and click ‘Connect to Xero’. Once connected, your TradeOnline invoices will flow automatically into Xero as a draft bill awaiting your approval. When the invoice is paid, payment will appear in Xero and is matched to the bill for easy bank reconciliation.

All data that passes between your TradeOnline and Xero accounts is encrypted using bank-level security, keeping the entire process safe and sound.

Gaining back the time to build your business

You’ll find a number of Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware branches amongst the stores already set up with TradeOnline. As soon as the platform is rolled out across 180 trade stores, you’ll be able to visit all the participating stores (both in person and online) and have all of your bills sent to the same place – no more collecting receipts or chasing paper trails.

As one of the leading suppliers to the building and construction industry since 1959, the trade business has always underpinned Mitre 10’s growth – and to this day, it remains at its very core.

As Brett Martin, Trade Operational Manager at Mitre 10, explains, the Xero Connect integration gives customers the ease they’ve been searching for:

“To our trade customers, we’ve listened and we’ve acted. Our partnership with Xero adds to supporting your business success through the ease of transacting with our stores. In conjunction with our TradeOnline portal, we’re confident this partnership will strengthen our relationship with all of our Trade Account customers.”

Be sure to keep an eye out for Xero popping up at your local Mitre 10 or Home Timber & Hardware so that you can stay across the latest developments and find the information you need.

The Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware integrations are now live and will be progressively rolled out to trade customers from the 180 participating stores in the next 12 months.

Why leave it there?
