Engager will continue with its existing team remaining in place to deliver the features and functionality its users know and love. This new partnership with TaxCalc will accelerate development and enable deep integration between the two popular platforms.
The collaboration is a natural fit. Engager founder Andy Wainwright has long been a dedicated user and vocal supporter of TaxCalc, crediting it as a key contributor to the success of his own firm.
This is a major milestone for both companies. At TaxCalc, we’ve always recognised that practice management is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Firms have diverse needs, and this investment represents a big step towards offering a wider range of options under the trusted TaxCalc brand.
If you have any questions about what this means for you, please check the FAQs below. If you need further assistance, your account manager will be happy to help.
FAQs
1) I only use TaxCalc’s Tax and Accounts software — will this affect me?
Not at all. TaxCalc’s compliance tools are widely regarded as some of the best in the profession. Our investment in Engager does not change our ongoing commitment to developing, enhancing, and supporting the core Tax and Accounts software you know and rely on.
2) I already use TaxCalc’s Practice Management software — what does this mean for me?
TaxCalc’s suite of Practice Management tools — including Workflow, Communications Centre, Time, and eSign Centre — provide a powerful and flexible solution for firms. We’ve made significant investments in this area, such as enhanced automated workflows and advanced datamining features introduced earlier this year.
We remain fully committed to supporting, maintaining, and developing these tools for firms where they’re the right fit. That said, we encourage all practices to explore both the TaxCalc and Engager offerings to determine which solution best meets their unique needs.
3) Will there be integrations between Engager and TaxCalc?
Yes. Integration between Engager and TaxCalc has long been one of the most requested features from users of both platforms. Our investment in Engager and the closer collaboration it brings will allow us to significantly accelerate integration efforts.
