Every cloud has a silver lining
2020 has certainly been a challenging year for many small businesses across New Zealand. However, challenges also give rise to opportunities. “History shows that on the back of economic shock, there’s quite a large rise in start-ups and people going out on their own,” shares Craig Hudson, Managing Director – NZ & Pacific Islands. “COVID-19 has been a big catalyst for change. There’s been a massive demand in narrative around moving to the cloud,” he continues.
As we all explore new ways to work, we’ve seen an increasing number of small businesses turning to technology to not only survive these uncertain times but to thrive. “Many businesses that have done well on the back of COVID-19, it’s been because they’ve been able to be flexible, and that comes down to the use of technology. Business owners are now looking for ways to drive efficiencies and create a better future through the use of technologies, such as Xero.” says Craig.
