I am proud to announce that our Chief Revenue Officer, Mark Robertson, has won Executive of the Year at the Global Business Excellence Awards 2022.
This award highlights Mark's outstanding ability to create innovative solutions to end-user problems whilst generating new revenue streams, his strategic thinking using pricing and commercial metrics, and his coaching and leadership. In just 16 months, Mark has proven to be an outstanding executive, providing exceptional value to the Chaser team in terms of revenue growth.
The award recognises exceptionally talented and intuitive executives who have produced great, tangible results.
The Global Business Excellence Awards pride themselves on having a large panel of independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector, focusing on financial results, innovation, customer, employee,
investor and community benefits.

Since September 2020, Mark has led the commercial and revenue-generating activities at Chaser, with a remote team of just three employees, and has achieved astonishing results.
Mark shares Chaser’s vision to create ‘A world where all businesses have the confidence they will get paid for their work’, and has innovated service offerings, pricing models, and software add-ons to help achieve this.
In the past 16 months Mark has:
Achieved 103% MRR growth
Through the implementation of new service lines and a complete overhaul of Chaser’s pricing model, Mark achieved an astonishing 103% MRR growth for Chaser.
Achieved record low customer churn
Under Mark’s leadership of Chaser’s Customer Success team, we have seen record low churn rates of just 1.69%.
Implemented NPS tracking
Mark implemented Chaser’s first customer success metric, Net Promoter Score (NPS), and has achieved an Excellent NPS score of 62 for the Chaser software.
Launched Outsourced Credit Control
With this service, in addition to automating through Chaser’s software, businesses can completely outsource their entire credit control function to the Chaser team - letting Chaser take care of payment follow ups over the phone, process optimisations, debt collections, etc.
Businesses like agency GlazeDigital with limited internal resources to follow-up on payments effectively, and with too few invoices to require a full-time credit controller have experienced huge efficiency and cost-savings after Mark introduced this Outsourced Credit Control initiative.
GlazeDigital’s Outsourced Credit Controller recovered debts they never thought possible - including an installment on a £16,500 debt that was 2+ years overdue, and has helped the business get paid 24+ days faster on average.

Assisted the launch of an integration strategy
Mark assisted the launch of nine new software integrations for the Chaser platform in 2021, to open up Chaser’s Total Addressable Market (TAM) to more businesses, increasing Chaser’s TAM by 700%.
Commercial metrics and revenue operations optimisation
To give visibility over the business’ performance, Mark implemented comprehensive tracking of commercial metrics and overhauled revenue operations at Chaser, including the creation of a commercial metrics tracking dashboard to track all business KPIs in one central location, ensuring the team stays aligned and on-track to achieve revenue targets.
Leading a young, remote team to success
Starting his role during the COVID-19 pandemic and UK lockdowns, Mark inspired his team and improved company revenues through what was a turbulent time for many.
Mark achieved this by setting clear revenue targets for the business and working collaboratively with his team to align on OKRs to achieve these targets.
