Jo Wood Virtual FD Ltd is acquired by the OnPoint Accounting Group.
After three years of hard work and dedication, Jo Wood has agreed to a business sale. After being made an offer that is right for the clients, employees and shareholders, Jo has decided to move on from her business to focus on future projects.
"I am so proud of what we have achieved in the last three years," said Jo. "It’s not been an easy decision but one that I believe will be beneficial for my family, my team and my clients."
This sale means the improved level of service and support for clients of Jo Wood Virtual FD as a benefit of being part of a larger group and additional benefits for employees. The OnPoint Accounting Group plans to keep the existing team as they have with previous acquisitions.
"I'm excited about this new chapter," said Jo. “Johann, Group Managing Director of the OnPoint Accounting Group, cares about the team's welfare and our client's experiences as much as me and I'm confident that he will take the business even further. I’ll be stepping back from day-to-day responsibilities but will be involved in generating new leads and prospects, something I love to do.”
The deal closed on Tuesday 15th August, with all parties involved working closely to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders. The OnPoint Accounting Group is looking forward to working with the existing team and clients alike, ensuring everyone gets the support they need throughout this process.
Johann Goree, Group Managing Director of OnPoint Accounting Group said: “Jo has built a brilliant bookkeeping business and I’m excited to take this business to the next level with the brilliant team that Jo has surrounded herself with, while allowing Jo to focus on her other projects and passions including spending more time with her family and doing more with her 6 Figure Bookkeeping Community.”
Johann continued to explain “Bookkeeping is where The OnPoint Accounting Group started out in 2017 so he is excited to see this service area be improved and enhanced through this next stage of growth for the group.”
Jo will be focussing on her role at the 6 Figure Bookkeeper where she coaches bookkeepers and hosts The Bookkeepers’ Podcast. Jo will also be offering consultancy services to other ambitious small bookkeeping and accountancy practices.
